I love Cornwall. I’ve lost count now of how many times I’ve forced my boyfriend to drive us down the entire country to spend a week beside the sea. We’ve been holidaying in the south-west for about a decade now, and while we used to stay somewhere different each time, my past three trips to Cornwall have all been to the same little cove. Granted, this has been for work, but I feel very very lucky to be able to return to this place over and over again. The south coast of Cornwall is by far my preference over the north. I have had wonderful adventures and stayed in beautiful places on the north coast, but my heart is always somewhere I can wade into tranquil waters and the beaches of the north are a little too choppy for my liking (although I’ve discovered many tidal pools that I adore). I will always gravitate towards quiet, secluded coves, that feel like they’re located at the very end of the world.
